Gunman Contracts Story Contracts & Launch Content

The three connected story contracts shipped at Early Access launch, the locations they cover, and the three additional missions planned as free updates.

Gunman Contracts - Stand Alone entered Early Access with a short but complete story campaign. This page covers what the three launch contracts contain, where they take place, and what the roadmap adds.

The premise

You play "the gunman", a professional operative feared in the criminal underworld, working for an order that has vowed to deliver justice in a world beyond the reach of the law.

The launch campaign sets up a single target: The Collectors, described as a ruthless crime operation killing and kidnapping innocent people for reasons that are, at the start, unknown. The story is written as one continuous operation rather than three unrelated jobs — the store page calls the missions connected story contracts.

The three launch contracts

#LocationDescription
1SafehouseCity outskirts
2Harbor warehouse districtRun by a syndicate
3Mobster restaurantA restaurant with a dark underbelly

The order above is the order they are listed in the launch content description, and matches the way the story escalates: a safehouse on the edge of the city, into syndicate-controlled territory, and finally into a civilian-facing front.

Why "connected" matters for how you play

Because the developer describes the missions as connected, treat them as one sitting where possible:

  • Story beats carry across missions. Playing them out of order costs you the setup for the later ones.
  • Equipment unlocked in mission one is usable in mission two. This is why the Hive, your home base, sits between contracts — you get a chance to change loadout with the full arsenal in front of you.
  • Mission boundaries are the natural place to stop. If you only have twenty minutes, replay a challenge mode rather than starting a contract you cannot finish.

The road map: three more missions, free

The Early Access description states the game launches with 3 full story missions and challenge maps, with 3 additional story missions to be added with free future updates.

What that means practically:

  1. The campaign is roughly half-released. Six missions are planned; three are playable now.
  2. Updates are free, not paid DLC. The word used is "free future updates".
  3. Nothing about the current mission layouts is final. Early Access means maps can be reworked, and the story can be extended between the existing missions.

Content outside the campaign

The story contracts are not the whole launch package. Alongside them you get:

  • The Hive — home base with the gunwall, gun bench, gun range and holographic combat area
  • Takedown Mode and Last Stand — two challenge modes across 5 maps
  • 18 weapons with per-weapon attachments, plus a compound bow and knives
  • Custom music, unlockable cheats, and an optional Low-Violence Mode

The Low-Violence Mode is worth flagging on its own: it is an optional toggle, confirmed in the launch content list. If you want the shooting without the full presentation, it exists.

Still unverified

  • Mission lengths and whether all three are roughly equal in size
  • The full enemy roster and whether new enemy types arrive with the later missions
  • Whether the additional missions slot between the existing three or continue after them

待确认 — updated as the Early Access road map is published.
